Clinical-Radiological Presentation 11

Question

The patient had surgery on the right shoulder 10 years ago. He is now complaining of disabling pain in the left shoulder for the past month and describes having felt an initial “crack.”

No pathological calcification, modest arthropathy –> What is the next step?

ANSWER

We proceed with an ultrasound, which also allows for an immediate infiltration for analgesic and anti-inflammatory purposes.
