Question

14-year-old child: Persistent wrist pain two weeks after a fall while riding a scooter!

Radiographic view for the scaphoid

ANSWER

Non-displaced fracture of the distal third of the scaphoid (discontinuity).

Confirmed by MRI: edema in the scaphoid head -> surgical consultation recommended. (Edema in T1 = bright area and in T2 = dark area in the scaphoid head)
