Clinical-Radiological Presentation 05

Question

The patient complains of cough, fever, and dyspnea. Suspected COVID (her husband is COVID positive).

What do you think of the chest image?

ANSWER

The chest X-ray is not very effective in reflecting pulmonary distress in the case of COVID.

However, the CT scan is much more useful. The CT scan allows for quantification of pulmonary involvement and helps define the therapeutic strategy.
